Gordo’s Tacos & Tequila is an original concept from Bondfire Restaurant Group president, Larry “Gordo” Bond. At age 15 in Fayetteville, N.C., he met Cynthia Berain Castenir from Monterrey, Mexico. He learned from her family how to make tortillas, marinate barbacoa, and make salsa and tortilla chips, or totopos.
Our Corporate Executive Chef, Andres Espinoza, developed a menu of classic and authentic Mexican flavors and incorporated them into dozens of tacos as well as burritos, fajitas and more. There are many foods in the world that are perfect for showcasing in a taco!
