It is a popular destination for tourists, vacationers, families, singles, and couples who are looking for a place to spend their holidays. It has numerous attractions that draw people from all walks of life. Here are some of the top reasons why it is a great place to spend your next vacation or business trip:

The Grand Strand – Myrtle Beach is home to the America’s oldest National Park. A grand strand of eight miles stretching from the intersection of Highway 14 and State Street, Grand Strand is a popular spot for tourists and visitors to head to the beach. If you plan to go there during the winter, be aware that the ice can make your trip dangerous. Because of this, it is recommended to hire a car if you are traveling on wintertime.

Gracious Beach State Park – This park offers magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and Pee Dee Sound. Among the attractions that you can enjoy here are the Gracious Beach State Park Lodge, Fortundle Beach State Park, Black’s Beach State Park and Thomasville Beach State Park. At Gracious Beach, you can also go whale watching or fishing. If you are in search of other activities that you can do along with your family or friends at Myrtle Beach, you can hire a car rental at the Gracious Beach Park.

Carolina Opry – One of Myrtle Beach’s most famous attractions is its world-famous golf course, the Carolina Opry. The course has been playing host to the US Open each year since 2020. During these tournaments, professional golfers from across the country come to play. In addition to the Open, the Carolina Opry also hosted the PGA tournament in 2020.

Barefoot Landing State Park – While the Carolina Opry might not be as competitive as the Grand Strand or Myrtle Beach Golf and Country Club, it certainly ranks up there as one of North Carolina’s must-see’s tourist attractions. It offers miles of beautiful beaches and forests, tons of activities and a great venue for outdoor weddings and parties. To enjoy the Barefoot Landing State Park, you can take a scenic trail or you can ride along the boardwalk. The park has restrooms, picnic areas, boat ramps, boat rentals, and a concession stand. If you are looking for a little history, you might want to visit the old brick lighthouse and pond, which offer some insight into early settlers and their lives in North Carolina.

Broadway at Myrtle Beach – Perhaps you have heard of the legendary Broadway in North Carolina, which was actually the original location of the musical “Fiddler on the Roof.” What is it about this story of a Rooster that has become such a beloved part of our culture and yet remains so quintessentially American? The answer may lie in the many museums and cultural events of Myrtle Beach. Take in a special showing of “The Lion King” or experience the world premiere of “The Graduate” at the ballet near the pier.

The Crown Reef Resort & Spa – Another unique attraction of Myrtle Beach is the incredible “Crown Reef Resort & Spa.” Construction on the massive resort was begun in 1982 by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright and includes some of the finest accommodations and amenities available on any luxury resort island. Enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean from your oceanfront rooms or swim in the relaxing spa pool. If you have children with swimming skills, the Children’s Pool is open year-round.

The Grand Resort – One of my personal favorites in Myrtle Beach is the Grand Resort. The grand beauty of this resort should be experienced to be believed. The views of the ocean from every room are simply breathtaking and the only way to experience the serenity of this facility is to board a boat. You can even take a tour of the submarine that was once a part of this resort. It truly is one of the best attractions of Myrtle beach.
